Kim edges Hofmann in inaugural stache-off
The final tally shows Kim up by 1.5 points.
A panel of six judges gave each of the stache-letes marks for length, density, and artistic merit. Each category was judged on a 5 point scale. Hofmann bested Kim in the density and artistic merit categories, but Kim's advantage in length decided the contest in his favor. After the judging, the two stache-letes received a congratulatory call from President George W. Bush, who thanked the two stache-letes for providing a stunning example of athleticism and sportsmanship for the American people. Bush revealed he is an avid fan of all IMGC events. "These guys and their facial hair are pretty much the only thing I've been paying attention to these past three weeks."
